Description
In the 1920s Regal came into some beautifully striped Cuban mahogany and made all sorts of ukuleles using this wonderful wood. The wood on this concert is incredible. It was buried under a heavy dark varnish but I had to refinish the whole instrument because the bridge needed a reset. It’s all sorted now and it plays really well.
I wanted it to keep that rustic feel and show off the wood so applied only a few coats of tru oil. It does mean the finish shows glossy patches where the original glue was around the bridge and on a couple of side repairs.
It had a very deep warm tone to it which I adore. Comes without a case but will be packed well.
