Description
Colling ukuleles are sadly no longer in production, which is a shame as they’re absolutely superb. Every one is as light as a feather and each sings with a loud distinct warm, yet punchy, tone. This one is a particular rarity. It was built in 2013 as a custom model using all solid walnut (the standard models came in mahogany or koa.) It also had the beautiful Collings gloss finish, and features faux tortoiseshell binding. It’s a beaut.
It has been played and as such you will find micro scratches on the upper bout and there are three distinct dings just under the rosette. These are purely cosmetic signs of use. I’ve tried to photograph them as best I can.
This is a super rare opportunity. I have never seen a walnut Collings in the U.K. ever before.
