We’re delighted to now stock Cordoba Ukuleles. For years I’ve shied away from guitar brands that have gone into ukuleles but Cordoba are a different matter. Cordoba are specialists in nylon stringed instruments and understand how to build instruments that really sing open and clear. This is certainly evident in all the ukuleles we’ve just received.

This is one of my favourite of their ranges as the spalted maple back and sides, with the paduak (a naturally red/purple wood) binding is truly beautiful. More importantly the solid spruce top provides a real punch and they really pack a huge volume. It has a brightness when strummed but a really good lower range too.

What really stood out for me though was how delightful they are to play. The neatly chamfered edges with the satin finish make it really comfortable to hold whilst the wide 1.5 inch wide nut (the same width as Kanile’a ukes) gives your fretting fingers heaps of room.
