I’ve run out of superlatives to describe these Flight Soundwave Ukuleles. They’re like magic!! Without plugging in at all (though there is a pickup so you can) you can achieve multiple live acoustic effects – reverb, delay and chorus (you can even blend all three.) At first I wasn’t convinced this was possible without some kind of small speaker inside but it is – the whole wooden body of the ukulele acts as a natural amplifier/speaker of the effects produced so they sound natural and great. It’s amazing. The Soundwave unit is even rechargeable (charger included) so you don’t ever have to worry about running out of batteries.
All of this is added to what is already a fantastic ukulele with a solid cedar top, laminate walnut back and sides and a gorgeous slotted headstock. It has a lovely warm open tone with great sustain.
To top it all off there is a very good quality deluxe padded gigbag.
