I’ve run out of superlatives to describe these Flight Soundwave Ukuleles. They’re like magic!! Without plugging in at all (though there is a pickup so you can) you can achieve multiple live acoustic effects – reverb, delay and chorus (you can even blend all three.) At first I wasn’t convinced this was possible without some kind of small speaker inside but it is – the whole wooden body of the ukulele acts as a natural amplifier/speaker of the effects produced so they sound natural and great. It’s amazing. The Soundwave unit is even rechargeable (charger included) so you don’t ever have to worry about running out of batteries.
This is the newest model from Flight to be included with the Soundwave range. The Victoria model has a very impressive list of specs including a beautiful bevelled armrest and scalloped cutaway, slotted headstock and on board EQ for the pickup. It features a solid spruce top paired with laminate acacia back and sides. It produces a punchy loud tone with nice sustain, helped by the nice fluorocarbon strings. Incredible value for money.
