MICRO-BLEM SPECIAL: In the last batch of ukuleles there were several that weren’t up to my high standards. These have very small cosmetic issues such a a tiny chip to the lacquer or small swirl marks in the finish. They still play, look absolutely sound beautiful but I wouldn’t feel right selling them full price. Many people that I’ve sold these too weren’t even able to spot the blemish. So grab yourself a bargain!!
We’re incredibly excited to announce our own brand of ukuleles. These have been developed over time using specific requests including wood bracing, top thickness, and wood selection. They are made of all solid woods, with a vibrant thin soft-wood top for a loud and open tone and solid ziricote back and sides which add a really shimmer and depth. The unique headstock not only looks ace but means that the strings continue in line through the nut which helps the strings vibrate well and adds to volume.
The two different woods add a slightly different tone. The cedar adds a very slightly warmer tone, whereas the spruce has a slightly brighter shimmer.
Matt sets these up by hand himself and adds Worth fluorocarbon strings and deluxe Gotoh UPT tuners. These keep the classic look of friction tuners but are in fact geared tuners and turn like butter (as well as holding tuning.)
Barry Maz at Got A Ukuele recently gave our spruce tenor model this stellar review:
All Forest Ukuleles come with a deluxe branded gig-bag.
