Who would have thought it but if you were to ask me who makes the best Martin soprano ukuleles around today I wouldn’t say Martin – I’d say Kiwaya. These are meticulously built Japanese copies of the vintage Martin design. The woods used are thin and vibrant and they are as light as a feather. Because if all this they really are as close to a pre-war vintage Martin that you can get today. They sound wonderful and play an absolute treat with accurate intonation. The Gotoh UPT tuners look like friction pegs but are smooth as silk geared tuners.
The KTS-7 is Kiwaya’s master series model with all the specs on a Martin style 3. Sheer class!
