There is something magical in these fluke and flea ukuleles and it’s not just the name. The sound they produce always surprises me – deep lows and very loud. They are made with a wooden soundboard but composite back and sides. This makes them fairly indestructible, which is handy if you’re playing this at your local group.
This one features a walnut neck and fingerboard. This means you never have to worry about fret wear and I find it actually adds a wee bit of extra sustain over the moulded fretboard models.
It has a lovely surf design in soprano size. The Flea design has a really nicely rounded body design for comfort.
