Description
This beautiful Myrtle baritone was made by Gordon, Char and Aaron at Mya Moe in 2014. It is made of all solid curly Myrtle wood which gives a lovely mellow and warm tone, almost right between mahogany and koa. It features a radiused fretboard, which makes playing barre chords a breeze, and an amazing quality K&K pickup (this is the pickup I use in all my personal ukes as I love it.) It features koa binding and an Ebony and maple faceplate. The sound is big and warm and beautiful!
This one had finish issues. When it came to me from the original owner the gloss finish had blistered. I wonder if it wasn’t quite cured properly or something. I sanded off only a little and very lightly applied a thin coat of tru-oil. Structurally it is perfect and the finish is now good to go, but there are marks in a few places that are quite rough to the touch. I have reflected this in the price so someone will be getting this for half the original price!
