How about owning a little bit of history? This soprano was made in the 1920s by Harmony in Chicago. It was one of the models endorsed by and named after the incredibly talented Roy Smeck. This lovely little soprano is a bit battered and bruised with some patched up cracks (not the prettiest repair but totally stable) on the sides and one on the back. It still plays great though with a nice low action. I’ve added new Aquila strings.
It come with its original case which has seen better days but feels like (and is!) a wonderful piece of history. It also has the original 1924 Ukulele Method it was purchased with.
Note I have listed it as per its headstock name – concert uke – but by today’s standard it would be considered a soprano.
