I’m not normally in favour of keeping things in boxes, treasured for a collection but not being played. However I couldn’t resist getting this one in for the shop. It’s a vintage TV Pal soprano from the 1950s. These were sold in conjunction with Arthur Godfrey as part of his US TV show.
Still in the box, with the felt pick and instruction book it came with, this is like taking a step back in time. Historically it’s really interesting but collectors of vintage ukes always say these play nicely too, especially if you add sone modern strings like Martin m600s.
