Description
Whaaaaaat? No you don’t need your eyes testing. This is a very special tenor ukulele with fan frets. The idea is that the increased scale and tension on the G string helps with accurate intonation (it does) and also makes the Low G string less floppy with more sustain (it does!) The frets don’t take all that long to get used to and many players actually find the help with barre chords.
Weird but wonderful! The uke sounds really delightful too. The low G really does add a beautiful sustain and the whole thing has a lovely crisp balanced tone. The top is solid Engleman spruce and the back and sides are solid walnut. It’s a beautiful combination and one that I have on one of my favourite custom ukes.
It also features a really stunning mosaic soundhole rosette and pulse markers down the fretboard. It comes with an excellent quality branded gigbag too.
