I was so excited to get my hands on this one! From 1925-35 Gretsch made these distinctive camp ukuleles in New York City. They’re made from ply to make them super durable and we’re intended to be played outdoors, around a campfire. Since then they’ve become iconic and are very collectible. This one comes with it’s original case, with still functioning poppers, which is super cool. There are no cracks and the blue/green burst finish still looks ace. I’ve kept the original strings on for the sake of authenticity but it would benefit from a change to modern strings like Martin Fluorocarbons.
