Here we have a really cool vintage Martin with it’s original case and even the original handwritten inscription on the inside of the case when it was gifted to the original owner in 1952. It is a style 1 Martin made on solid mahogany with faux tortoiseshell binding and black/white/black purfling. It still has its original friction tuners that work perfectly smoothly and the rosewood fingerboard is in great condition.
It sounds wonderful! Punchy, with that classic Martin bark and the warmth you get from aged mahogany. It has amazing volume. The comfortable medium action makes it a breeze to play with no buzzes and a nice straight neck.
It has a few dings and scratches as you would expect from an instrument this old but is structurally in too too condition and importantly – crack free.
