Description
Duuuuuude!!! Look what we’ve got here. It’s an original Treholipee surf ukulele from the 1960s. Manufactured by Swagerty, these were a hit with with surfers of California. The unusual stick design at the top end meant that they could actually stick that bit in the sand to hold the uke whilst they jumped up and surfed!
It has a fair few scuffs but is in remarkable condition for one of these. I’ve set it up with new Worth Brown Flurocarbon strings. It plays brilliantly and the original tuners are in great condition and crack free.
These are incredibly rare in the U.K. as they’re very very very tall – around 49 inches in height – so not easy to ship. This is another super cool piece of ukulele history.
