Description
This is an absolutely superb instrument from U.K. builder Paul Barnard. I actually had a beautiful baritone from Paul personally a few years ago it it’s one of the nicest I have ever played. His work is so clean with an awful lot of detailing and spec that you would expect from a much more expensive instrument.
This beautiful baritone is made from all solid European spruce with a really attractive solid Korina back and sides. It features a gorgeous mosaic wood rosette, a Korina faceplate to match the body, sapele neck, and East Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It even had a 16 inch radius fretboard – curved to match the natural curve in your fingers making barre chords so much easier and more comfortable. You normally see this in far more expensive instruments. The list of amazing features goes on – a bevelled armrest which really makes it super comfortable to play, a beautiful cutaway to help you reach the upper frets and a side soundhole so the player can hear and appreciate the beautiful tone
The Korina helps give this baritone a lovely smooth tone with a nice depth, yet immediate attack to the notes. It really is lovely and an absolute joy to play.
I really do mean this – Paul’s instruments are bound to go up in price as more people hear of his fantastic work. They’re really great. I believe this is a real steal at this price.
