This is a really interesting one. You don’t see many of these come up nowadays. George Formby famously played a La Foley when he wasn’t playing his banjo ukes. I believe this one dates to the 20s or 30s and it is in really good condition for its age – crack free. It is made of mahogany which gives it a nice rich deep tone.
I have listed it as a concert as this has a bigger body (especially the wide upper bout) and a longer scale length than La Foley sopranos, which are notoriously small. Bear in mind though that by modern standards it is actually soprano scale (the scale length is 13 inches).
The original tuners have been replaced beautiful Waverly friction pegs.
