Description
This is the classic Harmony soprano from the 1950s made of solid birch, with no bracing on the top (it’s just thicker wood.) I’m a big fan of Harmony and own one of their baritones. They made ukuleles affordable for the masses in America. They’re not meticulously made like a Martin or Gibson but are a level above many of the run of the mill manuctaurers and the sopranos have that lovely mellow chimey vintage sound that is perfect for the music of that era. This one is a wee bit battered but crack free. The molded fretboard is missing one fret markers. The tuners are original and it plays well with a medium/high action. A real little gem – comes with the music book that it was originally bought with.
